I recall, not only the features but the bits of expression that made the person I am drawing important to me. I am not particularly good at an exact likeness as my hands have not overcome the difficulties presented by forming a smooth line in this medium but find as I use the blender it gets better. I often wondered how portrait artists felt about their subjects, as they have to study them for a time.
